How Can We Fight Climate Change?

I haven't heard much about climate change recently and everything seems to be going smoothly, so that means it's over right? No more rising temperatures and water? 

Nope! Absolutely not. In fact, it's getting worse, and the wave of new people helping is practically over! We need as many Earth-Savers as possible! No one can save the Earth on their own; we need everyone on board! Can you try recruiting some new Save-The-Earthers? 

Nature is so beautiful! How could anyone not care if we lose it? I'm sitting in my backyard right now and I see lots of squirrels and hear lots of birds! But the thing is, I can also tell that we're ruining Earth. I've heard two airplanes in the last five minutes or so, and I don't even live near an airport! I also hear construction and cars, but to be fair, those are everywhere now, which is not a good thing. 

Speaking of cars, the gas prices are very high, but you know that already. Honestly though, this is half good. 44% of people have started walking and biking instead of driving places. Some people use public transportation too! Using these alternative options reduces your carbon emissions, and walking or biking also makes the air cleaner and keeps you healthy. 

But climate change isn't the only way the Earth could shut down. It's honestly overwhelming how many ways our planet is dying. How can we fix them all? I've been trying to raise awareness for all of the problems here on Earth, and some people focus on just one issue. As long as you're raising awareness at all, you're helping! Climate Change is Caused by 4% of the Ozone Layer Being Gone!

Have you noticed how weird the weather has been lately? Some days it's super warm and the next you're a human icicle? This is because of climate change, which is caused by the ozone layer, which keeps certain temperatures out of our atmosphere, being ripped. Since it's ripped, we get extra hot air from the sun and extra cold air from space.  We need to fix the rip so that climate change stops. It's melting all the ice in the arctic, leaving polar bears and penguins stranded on icebergs that melted off of glaciers. It's making it snow in Mexico, even though it hasn't snowed in Mexico City since 1967!  Since the glaciers and icebergs are all melting, the tsunami and flood rates are soaring. The tides are rising and big glaciers melting off a different part could create a big enough wave to destroy a city.  These things are not okay. Women Rights Are Human Rights!

Did you know that women still don't have the same rights as men? That's right! The first time women were allowed to vote was in 1893 in New Zealand! The first time in Canada was 1918, 103 years ago! But women's rights are human rights, so that shouldn't have been okay. Women should have the same rights as men.  But, luckily, we have made progress. Now women are allowed to work and vote. In 1919 women were allowed to hold office in the Canadian Parliament. Though we have made lots of progress, there is still a ways to go. Nothing but the voting rights are completely sexist-free.  Some people think that by giving rights to women, we're taking them away from men, but the true definition of feminism is just to give men and women equal rights. Lots of people think of men first when someone mentions a pilot, fire fighter, or police officer. In fact, at school, I was taught that police officers were policemen, and that is very sexist.
